The last time a sub .500 team went to a bowl game, it was UCLA, who petitioned after falling to 6-7 after losing a conference championship game in which they had to represent the Pac-12 South in USC's absence due to a postseason ban. They'll face Nebraska, one of three 5-7 teams slipping into the mix this year.
